WHO WE ARE

The New Jersey High School Democrats is a statewide organization dedicated to providing high school students the opportunity to further their support of the Democratic Party and process through community based chapters. We work to elect Democratic candidates to public office, advocate for Democratic issues, and work to be the next generation of Democratic leaders.

High School chapters of the New Jersey High School Democrats are run by their respective chapter president. We allow the membership of each chapter to determine their method and extent of involvement. With each chapter’s members driving the organization’s actions, we are best able to affect change within local communities. Our goal is to provide training, organizational structure, and resources to enable our high school chapters to be most effective and offer high school students an avenue through will they can become part of the Democratic Party.

Through our wide array of High School chapters, students advocate for issues and candidates they care about and have the chance to meet like minded young adults from around the state. Our members are constantly collaborating, volunteering, and interning on local races and for progressive organizations in N.J
